Step 1. Do not talk to the Shadow Prince yet. Step 2. Go to the tree heart. Talk to the Elven Scion. Get the quest to kill the Shadow Prince, then tell her "the mother tree must die". This will be an option even if you do not have Sebille and will initiate combat with the Scion and the Dryads. Kill them.
I've done everything I can think of but Jahan is still at his hut and malady says I should be out mastering the source. I've gotten my 3rd source point and did the ritual, killed everyone on bloodmoon island and every other thing. I don't see how to progress.
If you hit one of the magisters and only the magisters, the prisoners help you kill them off like allies, so it's advisable to kill magisters, eat the food in the boat to heal (save potions for moments of trouble), then kill the elf with cheesing, and then get lucky when killing the rest. This all took me 1 hour in singleplayer.
It caps at 3 available source points anyways. If you already have 3 source points they'll mention you can't learn more and give you a different reward. Jahan's is a unique skill book, Almira's might be a unique ring but I'm not sure. I finished the island, didnt kill Modrus had to kill him to finish it!
I usually stand on the stairs and use hailstorm to attack a golem and start the fight. After Kniles' teleport I teleport him as far as possible so he has to run to me. The morally right path is clear to me after having done this quest about 50 times. promise the cook you won't reveal her identity. feed her tainted stew to the scumbag who killed his business partner. tell that sniveling sycophant Stewart what she did so that she kills him. kill the cook in righteous self defense.
